Curtains and blinds are another useful way to protect your windows from letting any warmth out and keeping it inside. You could even consider getting a cover for your doors if you happen to have something in place that is particularly drafty. An extra cover up on those spaces that are likely to let out valuable heat is a very cheap and easy solution to your problem. Plus it can make a home feel extra cosy.

Often your energy provider may not be giving you the best rate and deal when it comes to your home. Or, you may find that there is a much more efficient way of heating your home. For example, using digital thermostats to set the times in which your home is heated. Or even using an application downloaded to your home which gives you full and direct control. Finally, the way you style your home can have a huge effect on how it feels when you are in it. For example, looking at adding more soft furnishings like blankets and cushions to your seating area can make a home have a warmer atmosphere.
