If you like to keep up with the latest trends, then you’ll want to make sure you have all of the must have clothing and accessories that are coming out in the new season. If you make sure you have these things, you’ll be able to put some seriously fashionable outfits together. Take a look and see what you need!

70s Suede and Anything With Fringing

The 70s have been back with a vengeance for some time now. They aren’t going anywhere any time soon either! 70s suede is set to be one of the huge trends for this summer, whether you’re wearing a suede gilet, crop top, or pair of shorts. The 70s look is just perfect for festivals or even holidays. Faux suede can work for this kind of trend too. Investing in the real thing could be a good idea too, as it’ll last you a while.

If you spot anything with fringing on it this year, snap it up as soon as you can. Whether it’s a jacket, top, or bag you need it in your collection. Fringing is the perfect look for summer outings and will add texture to a boring outfit. You can mix fringing with all kinds of other trends, so it’s not something you have to worry about wearing alone.

Florals and Frills

The way florals and frills were shown on the catwalk were quite Victorian – all high necks and full coverage. You don’t need to go all out like that to get involved with this trend. Simply pick something pretty and girly with plenty of floral patterns. If you do want to be all high fashion about it, then wear the trend in the form of a maxi dress.

Off the Shoulder Tops

Off the shoulder tops can be really flattering, and they are perfect for summer. Many people are opting for Bardot style tops, but some people are going for the ‘X’ shaped neck and tops that fall off the shoulders that way. Another trend that’s perfect for throwing on with your favourite jeans or shorts and heading out on a warm Summer’s night. Check this out to see how you can show off your shoulders.

A Classic White Shirt

Who doesn’t need a classic white shirt in their wardrobe? The great thing about this trend is that it’s perfect for the new season but it’ll also last you a very long time. All you have to do is make sure you choose a high quality shirt so that it stands the test of time. You can wear a shirt like this with jeans, shorts, even a skirt. You can style a classic white shirt so many ways, so make sure you’ve got one to play with. A wardrobe staple for anybody!

A Slinky Slip Dress

Slinky slip dresses come in all kinds of colours and styles. This year, the slinkier the slip, the better! Some women are even opting for nightdresses with a pair of heels! You do want to look classy though, so make sure you’ve picked a decent length. You may want to learn how to layer them up so you don’t feel too exposed either. This sort of trend is very 90s.

Statement Side Bags and The Backpack

Something that will always give your outfit more interest and texture is a statement side bag. Choose a side bag with a fun pattern, shape, or bright colour to bring your outfit to life. You can also match your shoes if you want to go all out. If matching isn’t your thing, try mixing instead. Clashing patterns and colours can look just as good. It’s really fun to do too!

Casual Sneakers

Everybody needs a good pair of casual sneakers. As you probably read in our “Are Celebrities Ditching Their Heels for Sneakers?” post, most celebrities are swapping their fancy Louboutins for casual sneakers this year too! You could go for a pair of Adidas Stan Smiths’, or the ever popular Vans skate shoe. Converse are still going strong too, both high top and low top. Whatever you prefer! A pair of shoes you can wear every day that go with everything.

The Suit Jacket Dress

Women can look really smart in a suit jacket, and it helps to channel the masculine trend that’s gotten more and more popular. But how about wearing the suit jacket in the form of a dress? You could wear an actual oversized suit jacket and style it with a cute bralet and a belt for more shape, or there are options out there actually designed for women to wear. It’s the perfect way to wear the masculine trend while still looking very feminine. You can find some great looks similar to this one on Styled By Marie Claire.

Graphic Patterns

Graphic patterns never seem to go out of style, and this year it’s all about stripes and plaid. Whether you’re wearing a maxi dress or oversized shirt, these two patterns are the ones to go for this year.

I’m loving the off the shoulder trend and I have surprisingly enough been drawn to white a lot more lately! I keep put myself off buying it though, cause I always tend to ruin white clothing.
