Myer MyKids Emporium

Myer-Emporium

Last Thursday, I attended the launch of Myer’s new Emporium store and all I can say is WOW! Boasting the largest biggest toy department I have ever seen and with a huge range of kids clothing, the Myer My Kids Emporium has everything a savvy parent would need for their kids. Literally, a one stop shopping destination.

Sections of note were:

The huge Thomas the Tank engine will have Thomas enthusiasts (big and small!) happy with so many Thomas the Tank engine products on the shelves, they will be there for ages trying to choose what to buy next. There are also two Thomas trains so the kids can pretend they are the fat controller and climb all over.

The Lego section has every type of Lego you could imagine and amazing Lego statues including Emmet and Wyldstyle (below) from The Lego Movie.

There is also a Barbie section. Did you know you can buy Barbie clothes for your little girls?

Speaking of clothing, the kids clothing departments include everything you could ever want from baby sizes right through to teens.  Clothing is grouped by age and gender ranging from newborn and toddlers to girls and boys (age 3-8) and bigger kids (age 8-16) to make shopping easy for busy parents.

Brands offered include: Bonds Baby, Bardot Girls (girls), Mossimo (boys), Baker by Ted Baker, Jack & Milly, Sprout, Milkshake, Tili, Bauhau, Origam and Brooklyn Industries.

During his speech welcoming us to the My Kids Emporium, Myer executive GM, merchandise, Adam Stapleton, said “It is a delight for Myer to return to the old building, which has been rejuvenated by the Emporium redevelopment”.

The rest of the Emporium building features a beautiful food court and shopping precinct, which includes stores such as Uniqlo, Nespresso, and so much more!

“We’re making Myer Melbourne the top toy destination in the city with our dedicated Myer MyKids Emporium, which will bring theatre back to store and make it even more fun to shop for toys,” Stapleton said.

“Every weekend we will have fun activities on offer for the kids including musical performances, book readings, face painters and balloon artists.

On the weekend of the 14 and 15 June Myer will host a weekend of fun-filled activities for kids at Myer Emporium which also co-insides with the launch of the new Myer Midyear Toy Sale. The Wiggles will be instore will appear live at Myer Emporium for an acoustic performance on Saturday 14th June. There will also be a host of fun children’s characters appearing as well as toy demonstrations throughout the weekend.

To celebrate the launch of MyKids Emporium Myer is running a competition where one lucky customer (who spends over $20 to enter) has the chance to win $10,000 worth of toys, as well as a $500 voucher to spend on childrens wear.

Myer and Mummy of style and substance are offering a lucky (Melbourne residents only. Sorry!) reader $100 in vouchers to spend at Myer My Kids Emporium ($50 on toys, $50 on clothing). Competition closes 27th June at 5pm. Melbourne residents only.
