Tackle Those Blemishes With These Top Tips

Acne-Blemish-Treatment

Are you sick of getting blemishes? For some ladies, their blemishes are worse in their 20s, 30s and 40s than they were in their teens. Life just isn’t fair! That doesn’t mean you have to put up with blemishes. These top tips will help you to tackle them so you can improve the appearance of your skin:

Have a Hot Shower

If your skin is bothering you, the first thing you need to do is take a hot shower. You need to open up those pores before you go about tackling those blemishes. If you don’t, your face could become inflamed and painful.

Use a Sterilised Blemish Extractor

When you’re done in the shower, your pores and blemishes should be more suitable for extracting. You should use a sterilised blemish extractor, or a bobby pin if you have one. You can then go about applying even pressure, and getting rid of the puss/sebum inside of your blemishes. Make sure you’re gentle and that you don’t apply too much pressure. You don’t want to damage your skin!

Cut Out Dairy

This won’t apply to everybody, but in some cases dairy could be the reason for blemished skin. Cut it out and see how your skin gets on without it. You might find it clears up within a few days.

Stop Touching Your Face

You probably touch your face throughout the day without even realising it. Be mindful of when your hand goes up to your face and stop touching it! You’re transferring sebum and bacteria that can cause breakouts here. Only ever touch your face with clean hands.

Keep Pillowcases Fresh

Keeping your pillowcases fresh will help to keep your skin as clean and bacteria free as possible. Change them regularly.

Drink and Eat Mindfully

Pay attention to the foods you’re drinking and eating. Some of them may be a breakout trigger for you. If you suspect something is a trigger, cut it out and see how you go. Dairy is a popular trigger, which is why it was mentioned separately. Cut out one thing at a time to see if it makes a difference. That’s the only way you’ll learn your triggers.

Keep Shampoo and Other Products Away from Your Face

When we wash our hair, we often let shampoo and other products run onto the face and neck. This can cause lots of blemishes if you aren’t careful. Keep your face shielded so that only your facial products have an impact.

Invest in a Good Cleanser/Toner/Moisturiser

Find out your skin type and invest in a good cleanser, toner, and moisturiser. Keep up using them and you should notice a difference. Your skin will begin to look less flawed! Emu oil benefits are hard to ignore. It is a great moisturiser and can help with lots of other skin imperfections.

De-stress

Stress can be a big cause of blemished skin too. Make sure you take time each day to de-stress and you might find your skin begins to glow!

Tackle your blemishes with these tips and you’ll love the results!
