Victoria Beckham AW14 Collection

Victoria Beckham AW14 3

Victoria Beckham has done it again with a gorgeous new collection. Victoria’s AW 14 collection collection was characteristically clean cut, featuring predominantly black and white (with a splash of red) for a cool, minimal overall feel.

Typical to Victoria’s previous collections, the styling was classic and sophisticated. Victoria, who is famed for her fitted pencil dresses, says her collection is designed to flatter from every angle.

Her ‘long and lean’ FW14 offering will feature sweeping long coats with pleated inserts and tuxedo-style gilets cut low at the back – to ensure you look as good leaving as you do arriving.

Victoria says she spent a lot of time making sure the leg-lengthening trousers were ‘cut correctly, to really get as long and lean a leg as physically possible.”No one is going to say no to a nice long leg,’ she has said.

A striking pair of tomato red skinny trousers, which gather lightly at the ankle and fall halfway down the foot when wearing a high-heel, create a clever leg-lengthening illusion.

Showing looser, man style type silhouettes – but still with her trademark structure – the collection included pleated dresses and skirts, oversized coats, sleeveless jackets, slouchy trousers and flat shoes. Yes, flat shoes! Victoria has been well known to wear nothing but stilettos (she once said she ‘couldn’t concentrate in flats’ and ‘beyond hated’ ballet shoes) but it seems she may be becoming more relaxed (in a recent picture, Victoria was wearing a pair of yellow and gold pointed flats on a trip to Asia).

In-keeping with androgynous theme, the silhouettes became more relaxed and laid back and even had a hint of girlishness in the form of feathered hems, ruffled detail tops and pleated skirts.

Autumn doesn’t look set to be all monochrome, Victoria included pops of rich colour in ruby red midi dresses and royal blue patterned skirts.

Today Victoria released eight pieces of the AW14 collection her website, here is a sneak peak for you:
