Woman of Style and Substance’s resident stylist, Victoria, let’s you in on what pieces you need for Spring/ Summer 2o15:
Winter is finally over so we are looking forward to the warmer months of the year with Spring Summer. Pack those winter woollies away and head down to the stores to start shopping for the next season. “Well, what do I look for? ” I hear you say, well let’s look at this season’s must-haves.
Denim / Chambray and yes double denim is back! We can see it in A-line skirts, pants and shorts along with our denim shirts & jumpsuits.

Structured pieces that show off a women’s figure is also big this season. Long pencil skirts with a split, fitted vest and clothes that taper in at the waist, so show off your ladylike figures show off your best assets.
(Left to right: Seduce North Sheath Dress, Boohoo Lexi Midi Jersey Tube Skirt, The Fifth Label City Safari Skirt)
Classic White or Beige is still a huge trend that doesn’t seem to going away. Culottes and flared white pants along with fitted blazers and jackets. Think Bianca Jagger in that timeless white suit from the 70’s. Style icon Kim K loves the beige long pencil skirt with a figure-hugging top.
(Left to right: Atmos & Here Indiana Wide-Leg Pants, Vero Moda Era Roulette Long Sleeve Blazer, Forcast Anita Textured Zip Skirt)
Navy Blue – one of my all time favourites. Teamed up with stripes, white or tan a great colour that suits most people as its softer on the skin than black. Also, navy and black together are now ok ……. as it used to be a fashion no no.
(Left to right: Atmos & Here Patrice Pleat Front Dress, Seed Heritage Pebble Tee Top, Fresh Soul Sand Dune Skirt)
Boho styles are still huge this season, fringing and suede and the relaxed Byron Bay look along with the off the shoulder white frilly tops are in stores so try your luck with some of these trends and remember to always have some fun and get out of your comfort zone when it comes to fashion.
(Left to Right: Dorothy Perkins Folk Tile Tassle Palazzo Pants, Boohoo Jamie Maxidress, Auguste Boho Darling Maxi Skirt)
