Now the weather is warming up, it’s a great excuse to go swimwear shopping. Of course, I know I hear a collective sigh from those of us who are curvy and find it hard to find the perfect, flattering one piece or bikini but there are gorgeous, flattering suits out there.  City Chic is the number one retailer in Australia offering a unique range of dresses, tops, bottoms, active wear, intimates, accessories and swimwear, for sizes 14 to 24.

They even have plus size resort wear consisting of shorts, dresses and kaftans! City Chic offers comfort, fit and style come hand in hand have thought of everything for having fun in the sun this season.

We were kindly gifted the mono stripe underwire one piece for review from City Chic. I usually wear a bikini but decided to see how a one piece will look. Having an hourglass figure, I have always found bikinis to be more flattering but this suit is really amazing.

I love anything with stripes, so choosing this suit was easily done! I also love the classic styling of the suit. The wide should straps offer added support and balances out the top of the suit. The suit is incredibly flattering with ruching along the front panel with the black side panels offer a slimming illusion effect. I am 5’10 (175) cm and usually find one pieces to be not long enough for my body and will either rise in the hips/crotch or the top will pull down, however sizing was perfect (I am wearing a size 14DD/E).

I’m looking forward to wearing my new swim suit at the beach this summer with some shorts, linen pants or a white skirt.

You can find the new swim wear and resort range at your local City Chic store and  City Chic SWIM 16 is now available online.
