August releases at HOYTS
August looks to be a fantastic month for movies. From fast cars to documentaries to fast thrills, there’s something for everyone.

August 3rd
About my Father
Sebastian’s old-school Italian immigrant father Salvo crashes the 4th of July weekend away with his fiancée’s all-American eccentric family. As the cultures clash, Sebastian and his father learn the true meaning of family through comedic twists. Available at select HOYTS locations.
Meg 2: The Trench
A research team encounters multiple threats while undergoing a daring investigation on an exploratory dive into the depths of the ocean. This sequel is a larger-than-life thrill ride that supersizes the 2018 blockbuster. Never Say Never (Mandarin, English subtitles)

The Miracle Club

Mamamoo: My Con The Movie

August 10
Asteroid City
A Wes Anderson film set in an American desert town circa 1955 following a Space Cadet convention that is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events. Screening at select HOYTS locations.
Dracula: Voyage of the Demeter
Dracula tells the terrifying story of the merchant ship Demeter travelling with dangerous cargo. See it first with your horror-loving friends at the HOYTS Horror Night on August 9.
Gran Turismo: Based on a true story
Based on an unbelievable true story of a team of underdogs who prove nothing is impossible when you’re fuelled from within. This inspiring story follows a struggling working-class gamer, a failed former race car driver and an idealistic motorsport exec – who risk it all to take on the most elite sport in the world. See it first at HOYTS’ Advance Screenings on August 5 and 6, before its wide release on August 10. A must-see in D-BOX!

Strays
They say a dog is a man’s best friend, but what if the man is a total dirtbag? This star-studded comedy follows an abandoned dog (Will Ferrell) teaming up with other strays to get revenge on his former owner. This hilarious comedy is one you won’t want to miss on the big screen.

Past Lives
