October Releases at HOYTS

With the spooky season upon us this month, there are a few horror releases including The Exorcist: Believer and Five Nights at Freddy’s to satisfy those who love horror movies at HOYTS. The action superstar-filled franchise Expendables is back with its 4th instalment and promises to be even better than its predecessors. For those who love music, there’s this year’s Edinboroough Tattoo and the hotly anticipated Taylor Swift’s Eras concert on the big screen. Legendary film-maker, Martin Scorsese, is back with his latest movie, Killers of the Flower Moon, starring Hollywood royalty, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro. Keep an eye on this movie in the upcoming awards season, it’s tipped to win a swag of awards. There are plenty of other movies to enjoy this month too.

Oct 5th

Expend4bles

  • The team of elite mercenaries are joined by a new generation of stars for an adrenalin-fuelled adventure.
  • The Expendables are the world’s last line of defence and are called to square up against an arms dealer who commands the might of a massive private army.

The Exorcist: Believer

  • After exactly 50 years, a new chapter of The Exorcist begins.
  • When two young friends disappear in the woods and return days later with no memory of what happened, a chain of terrifying events are unleashed. Their parents are forced to seek out the only person alive who has seen anything like it before, Chris McNeil.
  • A must-see in D-BOX Motion Recliners, with seats that move and vibrate in sync with the jump scares on the big screen.

Oct 6th

Mission Raniganj (Hindi, Eng sub)

  • A real-life story of a chief mining engineer who helped in the rescue of people when a coal mine in Raniganj, West Bengal, was flooded.

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2023

  • The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is returning to cinemas with its brand-new show, a musical journey entitled ‘Stories’.

Oct 13th

TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR

  • Cultural phenomenon Taylor Swift immerses viewers in a once-in-a-lifetime concert film experience. A must-see on the big screen in an extra-comfy HOYTS recliner.

Oct 19th

Killers Of The Flower Moon

  • Set in 1920’s Oklahoma, Killers of the Flower Moon depicts the true American story of the serial murder of members of the oil-wealthy Osage Nation, and a string of brutal crimes that came to be known as the Reign of Terror.

Oink

  • Oink is a Dutch stop-animation film about a nine-year-old girl who gets gifted a pig named Oink by her grandfather.

Oct 26th

Dumb Money

  • Dumb Money tells the true story of fortunes made and lost overnight in the David-vs.-Goliath GameStop short squeeze that may have changed Wall Street forever.
  • Packed with a star-studded cast, Dumb Money portrays how a loosely affiliated group of armature investors crushed one of the biggest hedge funds on Wall Street and upended the establishment.

Five Nights at Freddy’s  

  • From the producer of M3GAN comes a horror movie based on the video game series Five Nights at Freddy’s.
  • A troubled man begins working as a security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realises that the night shift won’t be so easy to get through, and pretty soon unveils what happened at Freddy’s.

Scarygirl

  • As her world is threatened by a loss of sunlight, a young girl must overcome her fears and journey to a fantastical city to save her father and the destruction of her planet.
  • Rated PG
