Why Waterproof Jewellery Is the Trend I Did Not Know I Needed

What makes it properly waterproof rather than just marketed that way comes down to the materials. Every piece is crafted from stainless steel and finished using Physical Vapour Deposition technology with IP gold plating, which is a fancy way of saying the gold finish is bonded in a way that is designed to resist water, sweat, scratches, tarnishing and corrosion over time. In practical terms, that means you can wear it through a Pilates class, into the ocean, on a long weekend away or through a full day at work without the usual worry about how it will look afterwards. It is also designed to suit most sensitive skin types, which is a welcome detail for anyone who has ever dealt with jewellery that irritates before the day is even over.
Galina Hirtzel, General Manager Merchandising at Bevilles, put it simply, explaining that the collection was designed for real life, for wearing at work, the gym, the beach or out for dinner, without having to think twice. That is really the heart of this trend. It is less about a single statement piece for a special occasion and more about building a small edit of jewellery you can wear constantly and stop worrying about.
I think this fits neatly into where fashion in general has been heading for a while now, fewer pieces, better quality, more versatility. Rather than a jewellery box full of things saved for best, there is something appealing about a few reliable pieces that quietly do their job every single day, through the gym bag, the beach bag and everything in between.
