11 Ways To Completely Uplift Your Street Appeal
Having a home with amazing curb appeal is always a good thing. Curb appeal is how appealing your home looks from the outside, to put it simply. There are so many ways you can give your curb appeal a boost, and some of them aren’t as obvious as you might think! Here are 11 ways to uplift your curb appeal:
- Tidy Up Your Garden
Simply tidying up your garden can really improve your curb appeal. Get rid of any broken ornaments and things that don’t look as new as they once did. Get rid of weeds, and anything that spoils the look of your garden in general.
- Plant More Flowers
You can never have too many beautiful flowers in your garden, so plant more of them to make it look even better. Just make sure you know which flowers you have the time to maintain, and which ones you’re better off leaving alone. If you don’t maintain your flowers, they’ll die pretty quickly and it’ll do nothing for your curb appeal.
- Make Repairs
Have repairs you’ve been putting off? We’ve all been there. Making repairs to your home is important for your curb appeal, as well as your health and safety. Putting them off for too long could result in you spending even more money in the long run.
- Wash The Car
Your car even has an effect on your curb appeal. Give it a wash and make it look nice and shiny to impact the entire outside of your home. This is especially important if you’re having a viewing for potential buyers of the home! It makes a subconscious difference.
- Get A New Welcome Mat
A new welcome mat will be a cheap addition to your home, but make a nice difference to the outside.
- Paint Your Door
Give your door an update by painting it and making it look more inviting to guests. Keep it clean afterwards. You could even change your door numbers, add a knocker, and make it look better any other way you like. You could even buy a new door if that sounds too much hassle.
- Clean Your Windows
Make sure your windows are nice and clean and it’ll make a difference to the whole house.
- Lay Down A New Driveway
Driveway looking tired and old? Get a new one. You could even simply replace some paving slabs to make it look new again.
- Update Your Letter Box
If you have a traditional style letter box, make sure it’s not falling to pieces. Get a cool new one to add some character.
- Hide Ugly Things You Can’t Get Rid Of
If you have things outside your home that you can’t get rid of, such as an AC unit, hide it. Put a lattice fence around it, for instance. If you can’t get rid of things, work with them!
