How to work: Coated Jeans
Not a sponsored post
I recently bought a pair of black coated jeans for Autumn/ Winter. You know, the jeans coated to look like matte leather? Yes them!
I lived in coloured and regular skinny jeans last winter (another thing I thought I couldn’t get away with wearing, I was used to wearing boot leg and relaxed fit jeans), so I thought I would give coated jeans a try.
Being in my late 30s and a Mum, I was wondering if I could pull this look off but once they were on I was amazed at how flattering they look and after a scan through Pinterest and Google, I soon worked out that I could rock these babies day or night.
I love Miranda Kerr’s take on the coated jeans and I have all of the items she is wearing in my wardrobe. Cute ballet flats (from Forever New), a double breasted leather jacket (from Target, which I bought a few winters ago), navy tee (Jeans West) and matching scarf (also from Jeans West).
For warmer Autumn days, I love this cute look by Olivia Palermo. Chambray shirt, coated jeans and cobalt heels. I would wear a Sussan chambray shirt ($79.95) and Nine West ‘Blissfully’ heels from The Iconic ($149.95) or Hush Puppy Yoko Loafers in Leopard black ($109.95) with Collette Hayman Padlock Tote ($49.95)
Casual, cold days call for a big sweater like the Trenery stretch crew knit ($99) over a Sussan chambray shirt (listed above), Guess Lady B Bracelet watch ($399) and Novo Alonzo Tote bag ($69.95)
Night time looks:
Portmans Delicrox Lace Front Top ($59.95) and Filgeree Stone Necklace ($29.92)
Portmans Louise Bar Trim Pump
(59.95)
Portmans Metallic foil tee ($59.95), Foiled Tweed Jacket ($129.95) and Flags short necklace ($34.95)
