HOYTS May Movie Releases

May is here and so is another month of exciting new movie releases at HOYTS.

Here are this month’s movie releases:

May 2nd

Boy Kills World

A fever dream action film that follows Boy, a deaf person with a vibrant imagination. When his family is murdered, he is trained by a mysterious shaman to repress his childish imagination and become an instrument of death.

A must-see in D-BOX with seats that move in sync with the on-screen action.

Fremont

A former US military translator stationed in Afghanistan returns to San Francisco to put her life back in order. Working at a fortune cookie factory, in a moment of sudden revelation, she decides to send out a special message via a cookie.

Malalyee from India (Malayalam, Eng Sub)

An unemployed young man named Aalparambil Gopi is compelled to embark on a journey away from his home. This unplanned trip ultimately changes the course of his life.

Sheqo (Arabic, Eng Sub)

This action comedy tells the story of thieves Ismail and Hegazy, who carry out their jobs on behalf of Dr Yousra. But things turn upside down when Ismail falls in love with his victim, Fatima, and Hegazy falls in love with Fatenah, the charming dancer artist.

Star Wars: Episode I – Phantom Menace

Two Jedi escape a hostile blockade to find allies and come across a young boy who may bring balance to the Force, but the long-dormant Sith resurface to claim their old glory.

After getting their horoscopes read, a group of college friends begin dying in ways connected to their fortunes.

Titanic: The Musical

On 14th April 1912 the RMS Titanic collided with an iceberg and ‘the unsinkable ship’ slowly sank. 1517 men, women and children lost their lives. Based on real people aboard the most legendary ship in the world, Titanic The Musical is a stunning and stirring production focusing on the hopes, dreams and aspirations of her passengers who each boarded with stories and personal ambitions of their own.

May 4th

Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope

Luke Skywalker joins forces with a Jedi Knight, a cocky pilot, a Wookiee and two droids to save the galaxy from the Empire’s world-destroying battle station.

Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back

After the Empire brutally overpowers the Rebels on the ice planet Hoth, Luke Skywalker begins Jedi training with Yoda.

Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi

After a daring mission to rescue Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt, the Rebels dispatch to Endor to destroy the second Death Star. Meanwhile, Luke struggles to help Darth Vader back from the dark side without falling into the Emperor’s trap.

May 5th

Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones

Anakin Skywalker shares a forbidden romance with Padmé Amidala, while Obi-Wan Kenobi discovers a secret clone army crafted for the Jedi.

Star Wars: Episode II – Revenge of the Sith

May 9th

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes

May 23rd

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

An American in Paris – The Musical
