OPI 50 Shades of Grey Collection. Win movie tickets and OPI sets.

With the highly anticipated film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey hitting the movie theatres on Valentine’s Day, there is little surprise that some big collaborations have spawned from the movie release.

The biggest of those would have to be the OPI and Fifty Shade of Grey collaboration. Although the range doesn’t consist of fifty shades of grey polish, it does include three greys, two silvers and one red.

The colors: My Silk Tie, a pearly silver; Romantically Involved, the one crimson shade inspired by the “red room of pain”; Dark Side of the Mood, a dark slate; Shine for Me, a shimmering blue-silver; Cement the Deal, a light stone hue; Embrace the Gray, a soft taupe shade.

“The collection captures the mood, feelings and emotions of this film with assorted hues of gray, ranging from glittering and gleaming silvers to cool gray cremes to dark charcoal. Colour is so much more than something to admire. The colours we choose to wear represents our personalities, our moods, our feelings,” states OPI Co-Founder and Executive VP Suzi WeissFischmann. “The collection bottles the film’s passion, luxury and power in six beautiful nail lacquers ideal for expressing sensuality through beauty.”

All shades are $19.95 RRP and the mini pack is $29.95. The collection is available in selected MYER, David Jones, Sephora stores and selected salons nationally.

The film was terrible, really. Sitting through the turgid and tedious S&M melodrama that is Fifty Shades of Grey may feel like its own form of torture… Perhaps worst of all, chemistry is nil between Jamie Dornan as billionaire Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as curious college student Anastasia Steele.
