In the last week, we have seen Jared Leto (above), Carol Vorderman and Kim Kardashian make huge colour changes, going from brunette to platinum blonde!

Marc Trinder, art team director at Charles Worthington Salons said: “We’ve already had so many calls from people who are desperate to copy Kim’s look. We’ve seen a huge spike in the number of people booking in for consultations with our colour experts, particularly darker brunettes who are looking for a complete colour overhaul rather than blondes who just want to go a few shades lighter – Kim seems to have inspired a newfound colour confidence in many women! It’s important that any brunettes wanting to go platinum do speak to their stylist first though as this certainly isn’t a look you should be trying yourself at home!”a12d1b20-c3f1-11e4-a53d-1b6c297a8097_kim-kardashian-blonde

After Kim Kardashian stepped out in Paris en route to Balmain’s Paris Fashion Week show on Thursday, she has already inspired countless dye jobs with professional hair brand FUDGE reporting a huge rise in sales of their Clean Blonde Violet Toning Shampoo and Conditioner in the UK.

The ‘Kim Effect’ has been so dramatic that the brand have sold over three times the usual amount of the specially designed shampoo and conditioner (which rids blonde hair of brassy, yellow tones) with a reported 312% increase in sales since Thursday.!cid_image002_jpg@01D05B46

John Vial, creative director of Fudge Professional comments: “There are only certain celebrities who can inspire such a huge movement in the beauty world and Kim Kardashian is one of the biggest players in the field! Kim’s platinum look is very high fashion but with high fashion comes high maintenance – she’s only been sporting the look for less than a week and she’s already had to visit the salon several times to get her roots retouched and colour toned. The Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Toning Shampoo and Conditioner are the ultimate tools for anyone wanting to achieve platinum tones as it’s essential to eliminate any brassiness or yellow tones that come naturally from salon colour fade. Dark hair like Kim’s that has been lightened so dramatically is the most prone to brassiness so it is so important to maintain your colour with the proper products after your salon visit.”
