Turkey
The culture of Turkey is incredible and it makes for a great travel experience. You can visit Istanbul, which has some gorgeous beaches that are perfect for relaxing. If you love history then visiting the Roman ruins at Ephesus will be right up your alley!
It’s not all about relaxation in this country though as there are tons of activities to take part in while on vacation here. Hiking through Cappadocia is something we would recommend doing when you’re visiting the Central Anatolian region because who doesn’t want to explore caves made by early Christians? While also making sure you check out Pamukkale where natural hot springs have eroded into stunning white terraces.
Iceland
Iceland is a South European island nation located on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge which marks where the Eurasian Plate meets North America plate. Unique geological forces have shaped this island and created a landscape of glaciers, geysers, hot springs, waterfalls, and fjords. The majority of Iceland’s area is covered by ice which is both the country’s greatest natural hazard as well as its chief economic asset.
Iceland is a country that everyone should visit at least once in their life. The Blue Lagoon is one of the most famous features in Iceland because it’s an amazing spa with warm waters rich in minerals. This lagoon is situated between Reykjavik and Keflavík International Airport so visitors can go for free if they want to just relax after landing or before taking off again!
The Iguazu Falls
The Iguazu Falls are a series of massive waterfalls located on the border between Argentina and Brazil! These amazing falls lie across the Paraná River which forms part of the boundary line that separates these two countries. The waterfall was named after a local Guarani Indian chief whose name meant “Big Water” because it’s made up of more than 275 individual cascades along this river before it ends up emptying into an enormous basin below!
They are divided into two parts, with each part having its name: The Upper Fall is called “Salto San Martin” and this section of falls can be found on the border between Brazil and Argentina. It measures about 80 m high while spanning a total width of more than 270 meters. During the rainy season in October to February, visitors can walk behind these powerful torrents! The Lower Fall is known as “Cataratas del Iguazú ” or “Iguassu Falls’ which are just north of Puerto Iguazú, near Foz do Iguaçu and Itaipu Dam in Brazil.
Machu Picchu
Machu Picchu is a 15th-century Inca site located high in the Andes Mountains! This amazing city was never discovered or settled by Europeans and it’s one of South America’s most significant attractions. Machu Picchu has been called “The Lost City of the Incas” because it sits on top of Mountain Machu Picchu which towers above its surroundings at an altitude that ranges from 2400 to 3300 meters (7874 to 10876 ft). It can be reached after hiking for about two hours through beautiful jungle terrain but there are also other routes available if this option isn’t preferred.
This site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most visited tourist attraction in South America. In 2007, Machu Picchu was voted as one of New Open World Corporation’s “New Seven Wonders of the Modern World” which is an organization that works to promote tourism around these world wonders! There are about 200 structures at this incredible site where people can marvel at views like no other place on Earth!
Easter Island
Easter Island is a triangle-shaped island that sits in the Pacific Ocean near Chile! This amazing place was initially colonized by Polynesians who came from other islands and then, later on, it was annexed to Chile in 1888. It’s famous because of its over 800 giant stone statues known as “moai” which were created between 1250 AD and 1500 AD when only about 6000 people were living here. These Easter Islanders believed these moai contained ancestral spirits so they built them outside their villages but also inside their houses for personal protection.
The most well-known feature associated with this site would have to be the Moais themselves since they’re very unique sculptures that are carved out of the volcanic rock at high levels of detail. These Moais are located on the main island, Easter Island which is also called “the navel of the Earth” because it looks like a big stone head rising from the bottom of the ocean! There’s an inner crater that makes this ideal location perfect for growing lush vegetation to sustain life in such harsh conditions especially when there isn’t much available land upon which people can live and farm their food.
Bora Bora
Bora Bora is an island that’s part of French Polynesia in the South Pacific! It was nicknamed “the most beautiful island in the world” by former American president John F. Kennedy because it has gorgeous tropical beaches and blue lagoons which are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving or even just enjoying a nice picnic under palm trees. This place looks like paradise on Earth with its lush vegetation and crystal clear waters where many different fish species live including angelfish, parrotfish, etc. About 450 inhabitants are living here who work at coconuts and vanilla plantations but tourism is also a major source of income since there are about 100 resorts to choose from along with many activities that can be done at this site!
When it comes to making your travel bucket list, the world is your oyster! However, some places should be on everyone’s list. These destinations will provide you with amazing experiences and memories for a lifetime. They also serve as great adventures if you want to challenge yourself or try something new.
