WSS Food: The Essence of Seafood

Summer and seafood go hand in hand, especially when we have access to some of the most sought after, fresh seafood in the world at our door step.  What could be better than a seafood feast, paired with the best of Tasmanian wine, at one of Melbourne’s top hotels?

Just right for a romantic date night or relaxing Sunday session with friends, the five-star Melbourne Marriott Hotel (corner of Exhibition and Lonsdale Streets) is serving a scrumptious two-tier seafood feast throughout summer.

The lavish ‘seafood stack’ (designed for two to share) was curated by Melbourne Marriott Hotel’s Head Chef Swami Nanden whose resumé includes some of the world’s finest restaurants, including Michelin-starred Benares Mayfair and Noma.

Seafood-lovers are spoilt for choice with chilli and garlic Mount Martha mussels, Tasmanian oysters, Moreton Bay bugs, crumbed calamari, smoked salmon and cooked tiger prawns.

Partnering with Tasmanian sparkling wine connoisseurs, Jansz, Melbourne Marriott is serving up some of the freshest seafood, including prawns, squid and oysters, that pair perfectly with Jansz wine.

Jansz Tasmania is a luxury sparkling wine house, solely devoted to the art of sparkling winemaking since 1986. Location is integral to growing outstanding fruit and only Tasmania can boast such idyllic conditions. Put simply, it is the perfect place to craft premium sparkling wines. The perfect wine to accompany a delicious seafood meal.

The hotel’s Essence Restaurant has an all-inclusive meal package, including a glass of house sparkling wine, for $149 per person.
