WSS Style: Cherrichella

Whisper Block Heel Sandal

What would you do if you lost your job and your wedding was cancelled (not only once but twice!) due to the pandemic?

Not a lot of people would say “Start a business” but that’s what Ross Phelan did and launched his new shoe brand, Cherrichella, right in the middle of Melbourne’s lockdown!

Founder and Managing Director Ross Phelan has worked in the footwear industry for more than 15 years, developing and selling footwear collections for highly regarded local and global brands such as The Iconic, Free People, Anthropologie, and Wanted Shoes. After losing his job at the beginning of the pandemic, Ross set out to fulfil a dream of creating his own label. A vegan-friendly label which raises the bar in both quality and comfort.

“Having worked with some fabulous brands in the past, it’s great to be in control of the look and feel of this collection. Here was an opportunity to give customers more. Not everyone can afford designer brands, so why can’t we offer classy, trendsetting shoes with an affordable price tag?”

Cherrichella have created a capsule collection designed to add some colour into the lives of stylish women around Australia. This casual and chic range of shoes will feature 6 unique block heels in the initial drop of great quality, wearable fashion footwear. Each colour being produced in a limited size run and will be sold exclusively at cherrichella.com.au

The six heels in the first capsule collection are all on wearable heel heights — 2.4″ or (6cm). Using what is now our signature look; wooden heels and raffia wrapped heels, the collection is full of colour. In fact, each heel comes in 5 colour option to choose from.

The range is environmentally friendly too with 100% compostable mailer bags. Combined with premium packaging which includes a unique shoe box made from recycled materials,

The brand has partnered with i=Change and will contribute $1 from every sale to an Aussie project in need. With free Australian shipping, this initial collection is predicted to be snapped up by Aussie fashionistas in no time.  Greening Australia and The Fred Hollows Foundation are the NGOs cherrichella has chosen to support.

As well as the Whisper Block Heel pictured above, here is the rest of the collection below (all styles are available in a range of different colours):

Cedar Block Heel Sandal
Stack Slingback Heel
