Elizabeth Arden signs Karlina Caune as global face
Elizabeth Arden has signed Latvian supermodel Karlina Caune as its new global face.
As a Brand Ambassador, Caune will appear in Elizabeth Arden’s advertising campaigns, marketing programs and public relations events, as well as being an active participant in Elizabeth Arden’s digital and social media platforms.
Scott Beattie, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Elizabeth Arden said that “The modern Elizabeth Arden woman is a passionate, multi-cultural individual who leads an active professional lifestyle. In Karlina Caune, we have found a beautiful and intelligent young woman who embodies the ideals of the Arden brand.”
Named the world’s toughest model by Vogue, Caune has graced the pages of fashion magazines globally and walked the runway for the world’s top fashion brands. She won the Ford Models Supermodel of the World event, and has modelled for Stella McCartney, Georgio Armani, Givenchy H&M and more.
“I am honored to join this iconic brand. Not only have I always loved the products, but Elizabeth Arden as well” Karlina Caune said “She was a woman ahead of her time and her philosophy about embracing women’s natural beauty is inspiring to me. I’m excited to join this community that supports strong, confident women.”
Her background is even more interesting: her father and grandfather both served in the Soviet Army, and one of her Uncles served as the Latvian Minister for Defence. Caune herself served in something called the Youth Guard, a military program for young people.
Caune learned basic military skills like marching and navigating obstacle courses in a mentally and physically challenging environment that she likens toThe Hunger Games, except that “you don’t get to kill anyone.”
They say the world of super modelling is tough, but I’m not sure many super models have ever had military training before hitting the runway 🙂
Caune will appear in Elizabeth Arden advertising campaigns beginning in Northern Spring/Summer 2015.
