Since its launch in 2009, the Just Dance franchise has become the world’s top selling dance video game. Just Dance 2015 has just landed and it serves up more fun and creative dance moves than ever. Just Dance was also just named the 50th best video game series by Guinness World Records, so it’s apt timing for its release.
Just Dance 2015 not only features over 40 tracks, but for the first time since the original Just Dance game, players will dance to Australian artists with the smash hits “She’s So Perfect” by 5 Seconds of Summer and “Black Widow” by Iggy Azalea ft. Rita Ora featured on the tracklist.
“Over the past six years, Just Dance has become the best-selling music game franchise of all time with over 50 million units sold to date,” said Geoffroy Sardin, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Ubisoft, EMEA. “This year with Just Dance 2015 we’re featuring more top Billboard artists than ever before and we’ve worked to develop new game features that bring the community – our fans – into the game in innovative and interactive ways.”
New to Just Dance 2015 is the Dance VIP feature which focuses on giving fans more access to their favourite artists and entertainers. In Dance VIP, fans can dance along to in-game footage of the VIP and compare scores with them. Players can dance along with select tracklist artists as well as dance personalities and choreographers.
What we thought:
Having been a dancer in my younger days, we have all of the Just Dance games and we were quite keen to try out the 2015 edition. The game does this by tracking your movements while showing you the moves to make on screen, you are then scored on how close you are to the move. It is part tutor, part party entertainer, and while the dances are a lot simpler than professionals would do to the same song, they at least give you an idea of the speed and timing. The mix of older dance songs with new makes the game a lot of fun to do. The karaoke function (which is at the bottom of the screen) is an added bonus and is a lot of fun. Who doesn’t want to sing and dance at the same time?

Our favourite tracks are Black Widow, Maps and of course, Dark Horse.
