Fantastic Ideas For Achieving Younger Looking Eyes
It’s no secret that as we age our face changes; we develop wrinkles, and our skin begins to sag. One of the worst effects of aging is how our eyes change, they become puffy and plagued by dark bags and crow’s feet.
When you meet someone new, one of the first areas of your face that they look at are your eyes. This is because our eyes are windows to how old we are – just from looking at a person’s eyes, you can get an idea of their age.
If the areas around your eyes have started to age – it happens to us all at some point, there is no need to stress. As I have put together lots of effective ideas for achieving younger, and healthier, looking eyes.
Use concealer
As we age, our skin begins to thin, especially around the eye area. This leads to blood vessels showing through and dark areas forming – I’m sure that you’ll agree that this is not a great look. The best way to hide these imperfections and make your eyes look a little younger is concealer. If you apply it right, your eyes will look amazing.
For best results, opt for a yellow-toned concealer that is at least two shades lighter than your normal skin tone. The yellow tones will conceal the dark areas better than a pink concealer would do.
Top tip: If you want to apply concealer using your fingers, use your ring finger to dab it on. This finger has a light touch, so it’s better for using to apply makeup. Once you have done the concealer, add a dusting of translucent powder to set it in place.
Fill your brows
Did you know that thin, light eyebrows can make your features disappear, adding years to your face? If your brows seem to grow sparsely, it’s a good idea to fill them in, to make them look thicker.
You can find some amazing tutorials on YouTube for successfully filling your brows, so make sure to check these out. It can be hard to get right, but with a bit of practice, you’ll soon perfect the art of eyebrow filling.
Get your eyes treated
If there is a certain area of your eyes that is hard to hide using makeup, you could consider having treatment for it. If you want to stay looking young for as long as possible, having things like sagging skin or crow’s feet fixed is important.
If, for example, your eyelids have started to sag, you may feel self-conscious about it. The worst thing about this is the fact that you can’t do anything about it using makeup. However, there are plenty of eyelid surgery services that could easily fix the problem for you. Even if you aren’t a fan of cosmetic surgery, if droopy eyelids are getting you down, it’s worth considering.
As we age, it’s only natural that our faces change. However, that doesn’t mean that we have to accept these changes. There are plenty of simple things that we can do to make our eyes – one of the most important areas on our faces, look a little younger.
