Myer Giftorium. Something for everyone.

I have always loved Christmas’s at Myer. I grew up in a country town in northern Victoria and every year we would head down to Myer to buy all of our Christmas pressies. The Myer Christmas windows and the whole store decked out in Christmas cheer was always a sense of wonder when you were a child.

Skip a few years ahead and I worked for Myer while I was attending university. I worked in most of the departments and loved it but the Christmas department leading up to the holiday period had to be my favourite. I still think working at Myer was one of the best jobs I have had.

I have always loved the Christmas atmosphere at Myer and nothing has changed. Well, except this year Myer has gone one step further and opened the Christmas Giftorium, which brings back the old fashioned true magic of Christmas shopping.

Located on the 6th floor of the Melbourne store, the Myer Giftorium offers a whole level of Christmas decorations, gifts, activities for the kids and of course, Santa.

Half of the floor is divided into suggested gift ideas for a particular person ie Dapper Dad, Miracle Mum, Glamour Gran & Perfect Pop, Trendy Young Things, Kids Cubby, Paws Corner, Fashionista, Hop, Skip, Juice, Techno Freak, Food Fanatic, Globe Trotter and Stocking fillers.

I could have easily bought everyone’s presents in one go. Mr nearly 20 wants a G watch (there is a G watch pop up shop in the giftorium), as well as pop up shops from Benefit, Bonds, Fossil, R&A LEather goods, Dilmah, Kikkerland, Mr Men and Little Miss, Vista Print as well as a fragrance gallery.

Soda Stream have a fantastic set up where you can customise your own Soda Stream machine with any color combination you can think of.

Being a bit of a Christmas decorating fiend, I loved the amount of decorations on offer especially from Australian House and Garden (if you are into homewares, check out this brand at your local Myer. It is amazing!).

In the meantime, I have found my Christmas present….
