The Dos and Don’ts of Post-Breast Augmentation

Surgeries are not easy on the patient and their family. There are a lot of precautions and prerequisites for the procedure.

And there are several post-surgery procedures as well. And breast surgery is not that different—though it is considered a beauty or (related) aesthetic procedure, it is no different from other surgeries.

Many surgeons will do the procedure if you have plans for breast augmentation in Sydney. But before that, you need to understand the whole concept and the “Dos and Don’t” after the procedure.

Every year thousands of women go under the knife for a better looking figure and face, and these procedures are performed on the nose, breast, hips, etc. Australia is not a special case; the whole world is seeing a rise in beauty conscious millennials and their need to look good. Looking good is also a part of some careers, and the pressure is more for women. Sydney is one of those cities where the numbers are high, and it’s not just women; men are also opting for minor surgeries in the cities. The procedure will cost around 5,000 to 10,000 AUD in Sydney; depending on the surgeon and place, the fee may change.

Good looks and confidence

Confidence is indeed related to your knowledge and preparedness, but good looks give the finishing touch to it. Professions such as orator, teacher, instructor, flight attendant, actress, receptionist, etc., demand good looks, and everyone cannot look like a model. But, a minor change can make a huge difference.

So, what are the dos & don’ts of post-breast augmentation?

Dos

  • Ensure that you have friends or a family member to drive you home after the breast augmentation in Sydney, as there may be traffic or other hindrance, and you will not be in a condition to drive, even after days of rest in the hospital. Sydney and Melbourne are the top two cities with traffic congestion.
  • Arrange someone to stay by your side for a few days after the surgery; call your surgeon if you have any adverse reaction to the anesthesia.
  • Rest enough to let the body heal.
  • Sleep in a comfortable place, such as a recliner. Lie on your back with pillows under the knees and back.
  • Eat healthy meals and snacks.
  • Wear loose and comfortable clothes after the surgery.
  • Take the medication regularly.
  • In case of fever, call your surgeon immediately. If necessary, go for a checkup.
  • Perform mild exercises and yoga only if suggested by your doctor.

Don’ts

  • Don’t lift any heavy objects.
  • Avoid sleeping on your stomach.
  • Don’t smoke for a few weeks.
  • Don’t wear an underwire bra. Keeping the breasts under pressure is not good.
  • Don’t move around the house or perform any jerky motions.
  • Avoid junk food. A lot of fried and oily food is not suitable for the fast recovery of your body.
  • Don’t get your breasts wet for at least a week. Don’t even go for a sponge bath.

These are the dos and don’ts of post-breast surgery. Sometimes, it may feel tough and frustrating, but only patience and taking good care of yourself can help you get what you want. Breast augmentation in Sydney is becoming common, and there’s no more fear about the surgery as it has a very high success rate than most surgeries. Soon, plastic surgery will become a regular thing in society.
