The Lego movie was one of 2014’s most popular films (especially with my sons, who loved it!).

Hugely thanks to the amazing animation and characters voiced by Chris Pratt (lead character, Emmet),  Will Ferrell (Lord Business), Elizabeth Banks (WyldStyle), Will Arnett (Batman/ Bruce Wayne), Nick Offerman (Metal Beard Pirate), Alison Brie (Unikitty), Charlie Day (Benny), Liam Neeson (Good/ Bad Cop), and Morgan Freeman (Vitruvius).

If you haven’t seen it (come on, really? Who hasn’t seen The Lego Movie?), the story follows the main character, Emmet. An ordinary guy named Emmet (Chris Pratt) is mistaken as being the Master Builder, the one who can save the universe. With the aid of an old mystic Vitruvius (Morgan Freeman), a tough young lady named Lucy (Elizabeth Banks), and Batman (Will Arnett), Emmet will fight to defeat the evil tyrant Lord Business (Will Ferrell) who is bent on destroying the universe by gluing it together.

The film also spun over twenty Lego sets inspired by scenes from the film. The collection was incredibly popular with sets selling out the world over in record time.

Of course, with The Lego Movie proving to be so popular, there had to be a “Lego Movie 2”, didn’t there?

THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE is a spin-off to the popular 2014 film THE LEGO MOVIE, which made $25 million at the Australian box office.

The eccentric, heavy metal singing and rapping billionaire, Bruce Wayne and his alter ego, Batman is back with his own movie.

THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE is directed by Chris McKay (TV’s Robot Chicken) and stars Will Arnett, reprising his role of Batman/Bruce Wayne. The film also features the voices of Rosario Dawson as Batgirl/Barbara Gordon, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth, Michael Cera as Robin/Dick Grayson and Zach Galifianakis as The Joker.

Here are the first two trailers for The Lego Batman Movie:

As you can see, the movie looks like it is going to be hilarious and a lot of fun!

THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE hits Australian cinemas on March 30, 2017.
