We first wrote about Australian artist and designer Christina Re way back in 2010, when we attended Christina’s gorgeous store, Where A Girl Goes for a high tea event. Since then, Re has expanded her business immensely by including gorgeous homewares in her range, which are now being sold across the world.

We are quite excited to announce that Cristina Re, has just released her limited edition, High Tea Collection “To Paris with Love”.

The teacup and saucers, mugs, side plates and platter are all limited editions, have been hand illustrated and are made from the finest quality bone china which has been embellished with lustrous 24 ct gold. These pieces can be coordinated with the array of mix and match Teapots, Cake Stands, Plates, Mugs and other accessories from the existing Cristina Re High Tea Collection. Born in Rome, Cristina’s love for beautiful design began early.

Travelling extensively around the world, Re captures the visual beauty that she sees in different cultures throughout her designs. From the flora and fauna of Asia to the high fashions of Europe and New York, she’s constantly inspired to create new patterns that are forever evolving and setting trends.

Over the last few years, Re has focused on translating her fashionable patterns onto lifestyle products, discovering a niche in the Australian market for High Tea and as a result, focusing on designer teaware. Bringing a little bit of Paris to Collingwood, Cristina opened a High Tea Salon & Boutique in Melbourne –the first of its kind in Australia.

In June 2015, Cristina Re opened her first International stand alone High Tea Salon and Boutique in Chengdu, China.

Cristina says; “The store features the latest in high-end architecture and beautiful interior design. I wanted to create a luxurious environment where guests could enjoy High Tea whilst viewing and sampling the recent tea ware collection. The Taikoo Li retail complex sets a new standard in shopping and dining and I felt it was the ideal location for the new concept store. We are excited for more international expansions into 2016.”

Cristina has also recently collaborated with the Sofitel Sydney for its renowned Wentworth High Tea offering, featuring a full range of deluxe Ronnefeldt tea, sweet and savoury treats.

Her vintage inspired Signature High Tea collection, can now be seen in Sydney exclusively in Soiree at the Wentworth from 2pm -5pm daily. Additionally, exclusive High Tea celebrations can be booked at Garden Court Restaurant on level 5 of the luxury hotel.

In Melbourne, the collection is the exclusive partner of the Grand Hyatt’s What a Girl Wants High Tea, a culinary treasure trove of gourmet delicacies hosted in their Library room.

Prior to her expansion into home décor, Re became the original founder of the DIY stationery concept and to this day, continues to lead the direction as the most sought after brand in the ‘craft’ industry. She has sold millions of sheets of paper and her work has provided budding artists and professionals alike, the canvas and inspiration to create their own unique creative masterpieces. With over 20 years’ of design experience, she boasts over 500 products of the highest quality which are sold to over 1000 stores around Australia and the world.

In Australia, the Cristina Re teaware collection can be found at David Jones and boutique specialty bridal & art stores across the country.
