Dealing with acne can be tough. Knowing how to treat your skin comes with years of experience. But here are a few tips and facts that might get you started:

  1. Shower before and after you’ve been working out. There is a common misconception that exercising gives us acne. This myth isn’t true! However, the sweat can result in an outbreak. Washing before and after ensure that your skin isn’t too oily.
  2. Stress can make acne worse. Try meditating or taking a calming yoga class. Releasing tension and stress is good for your mental health and your skin. You might even find a new hobby!
  3. Chocolate can trigger an outbreak. If you are struggling with your skin during a specified period, try cutting back on chocolate.
  4. Organic and natural products can cause acne, too. Sometimes they might help but also, these products may end up being the culprit. Just because they are natural, doesn’t mean that they can’t be damaging to your skin condition.
