Eat better

One of the best ways to conceive a baby is by living a healthy lifestyle. If you are overweight or obese, it might be prolonging you getting pregnant. You need to make sure that you are getting your five-a-day. And try to drink more water during the day. If you are eating unhealthy meals, you are less likely to get pregnant. Cut down on takeaways and try and stick to healthy food choices. It’s best to get your body prepared for going through pregnancy so losing weight is the perfect way of doing this. Remember that it’s not just you that could be causing the delay in making a baby. Make sure that you get your partner to eat healthy too. You should both exercise together, as you can both encourage each other to get fit.

Talk to your doctor

You should speak to your doctor if you have been trying for more than a year to get pregnant. They may do some blood tests to see what’s going on with your body. They may want to check your partner’s sperm to make sure everything is okay. If you are not ovulating enough, they will be able to advise you. They could potentially put you on fertility drugs to help you get pregnant. If it doesn’t work, they may look at other methods such as artificial insemination. They will help you to have an understanding how artificial insemination works.

Check when you ovulate

The best way to get pregnant is to make sure you are having sex while you are ovulating. It can increase your chances of making a baby. There are so many ways of calculating when the time you are ovulating will be. You can check your temperature, and even buy a kit which will tell you if you are.

Keep relaxed

To increase your chances of getting pregnant, you should be staying relaxed and not stressed about it all. The more you worry, the more of a chance you won’t conceive. Try and talk to a friend, or your partner about your concerns. You will be surprised how much quicker you will get pregnant when you and your body relaxes.

Have sex regularly

If you are struggling to conceive a baby, you should make sure you and your partner are having sex regularly. Don’t just stick to times you are ovulating; try and have intercourse at least twice a week. On top of being good to conceive, it’s brilliant for your relationship.

It might feel like it’s taking ages, but keep trying and you will soon have a baby in your arms!
