If you head into any retail store at the moment, you will see a huge trend towards jewel hued tones this year. From burgundy and berry tones through to blues. Dark, rich colours are making a huge statement.

One colour to stand out from the other are blue hues (think royal blues and dark teal), in which we have seen velvet royal blue and teal chairs and lounges have a popular resurgence. Our bathroom is mainly cream and browns and blue bathroom accessories match well with the colour pallet but blue towels and accessories would also blend in well with most bathroom shades, particularly white.

Kitchen:

When used in your kitchen, blue will add a touch of drama and mystery, yet feel refreshing when paired with uplifting shades like white, silver or the latest in gold taps, sinks and hardware or classic chrome hardware. Blue is also a terrific accent colour, and add the perfect amount of contrast when used on statement spaces like back splashes and cabinetry.
