Grab a mat and begin by lying on your back. Have your legs extended straight toward the ceiling, make sure your arms are by your side and your feet are over your hips. 

This next part is simple.

Lower your left leg down as low as you can go without arching your lower back, return to the start and repeat on the other side. That’s one rep. 

Do as many reps as possible in 30 seconds.

  1. Superman

For a lot of women, it’s easy to ignore the importance of the back day. Having a strong back is not only sexy, but it’s crucial for posture and overall physical strength. The superman workout helps you tone your back and you’ll feel super powerful when you do it too!

Start by lying on your stomach with legs and arms extended on the floor. You should look like one long line. Keep your forehead on the mat.

Now, engage your abs, squeeze your bum and lift all of your limbs and head a few inches off the ground. Keep your neck neutral to avoid injury.

Hold this pose for 3-5 seconds, lower back to the original position and do as many of these as you can for 30 seconds. 

  1. Clamshells

Start by laying on your left side with your left arm bent. Be sure to support your head with your hand. Keep your right hand on your hip, right leg on top of the left, bend your knees and keep your heels in line with your bum. 

Open your legs like a book by lifting the right knee toward the ceiling. You’ll feel your right hip roll backward. Once you close the book, that’s one rep. Do as many as you can on each side for 30 seconds.
